Who we are

Territory One Technologies, LLC ("Territory One", "we", "us") is a Florida company. We recruit, screen, and contract independent haulers, and connect them with locally owned junk removal companies.

What this policy covers

This policy covers:

• this website, territoryonetech.com;
• the driver application at apply.territoryonetech.com, and the recruiting sites we operate that send applicants to it;
• the Territory One driver app.

Information we collect from applicants and drivers

When you apply, and once you're onboarded as a driver, we collect:

• Identity and contact details: your name, phone number, email address, and address.
• Eligibility answers: your vehicle and trailer, driver's license, insurance, experience, and availability.
• Consent records: what you agreed to, which version, when, and the IP address and browser you used.
• Documents you upload: your driver's license, insurance card, and vehicle photos.
• Background checks: your authorization, and the results from an accredited consumer reporting agency. The agency collects the details it needs, such as your Social Security number and date of birth, directly from you on its own secure form. We don't collect or store what you enter on that form.
• Once you're onboarded: your job activity, your location while you're on a job, job photos, and your payment details.
• Tax information: the details needed to pay you as an independent contractor, such as the W-9 you complete, which includes your Social Security number or employer identification number.

Background checks are run by an accredited consumer reporting agency only after you've applied and provided separate written authorization, as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Information from this website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It has no forms, so it doesn't collect personal information.

The only thing it stores is your light or dark theme choice, and it stores it in your own browser (local storage). It is never sent to us.

The company that hosts the website keeps standard server logs of each visit: the IP address, the browser, the time, and the page requested.

How we use it

We use information about applicants and drivers to:

• screen applicants;
• contract with drivers;
• dispatch jobs;
• pay drivers;
• communicate with you about your application and jobs, including by text message;
• provide support;
• meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share it only with:

• Our background-check vendor, an accredited consumer reporting agency, to run the check you authorized.
• Our payment processor, to pay you.
• Partner companies, the locally owned junk removal companies whose jobs you accept: your first name, vehicle type, and job status only. Never your documents.
• Service providers under contract that run systems for us, only for that work.
• Professional advisers, such as our lawyers, accountants, and insurers, under a duty of confidentiality.
• A successor, if Territory One Technologies, LLC is merged, acquired, or sells its business, who must protect your information as this policy describes.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We don't sell personal information.

Text messaging

If you agree to text messages on the application, we send them as described in our SMS Terms. Reply STOP to stop them at any time. Reply HELP for help.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How long we keep it

• Applications: 24 months from your last activity.
• Rejected or withdrawn applications: you can ask us to delete yours at any time by emailing drivers@territoryonetech.com.
• Records about drivers we contract with: as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deletion is subject to the records the law requires us to keep, such as tax and contractor records. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. To make any request, email drivers@territoryonetech.com. We may need to confirm it's you first.

Background check rights (Fair Credit Reporting Act)

If a background check report plays any part in a decision not to engage you, or to stop engaging you (background checks are renewed annually), the Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you these rights, and we follow its process:

• Before we make a final decision, we send you a copy of the report and a summary of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and you have the chance to dispute anything inaccurate or incomplete with the consumer reporting agency.
• If we then make a final decision, we tell you, and give you the name and contact details of the consumer reporting agency that supplied the report.
• You can dispute the accuracy or completeness of anything in your report directly with that agency.

State privacy rights

Residents of some states may have additional privacy rights. You can exercise any right by emailing drivers@territoryonetech.com.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the staff who need it for their work.

Children

Our services are not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
